Yoan Pablo Hernandez Vs Firat Arslan

Preview, prediction and betting recommendation

Yoan Pablo Hernandez defends his IBF cruiserweight title against rugged 43 year old Firat Arslan, most may best remember Arslan when he gave Marco Huck all he could handle in 2012. However Huck gave Arslan a beat down in a rematch this year to indicate Arslan is now staring at the end of his career.

Hernandez is a Cuban southpaw with silky boxing skills, he should be able to use those to keep Arslan on the outside peppering him with his jab and landing combinations. There is nothing fancy about Arslan he is a come forward fighter with heavy hands that looks to get on the inside and rough up his opponents.

And I dont think Arslan will have much success against a much younger, fresher and superior boxer in Hernandez. He is now 43 years old and has shown clear stamina issues in his last few fights.

Either Arslan wins this with some sort of devastating knockout early in the fight or Hernandez should take over and start dominating Arslan to a late stoppage or a wide points win.

There isn’t too many markets open in the method markets, Bet365 have Hernandez 8/11 for the stoppage and that is what I fancy but 8/11 is short and I expect it to come late in second half of the fight, Bet365 have Hernandez rounds 7-9 4/1 and rounds 10-12 at 7/1 and think they are good for a small stake straddle.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £5 on Hernandez rounds 7-9 4/1 and £5 on Hernandez rounds 10-12 7/1, both at Bet365
