The Undercards

David Price Vs Costa Junior & Hughie Fury Vs Rudenko

Previews and Betting Tips.

Two of UK’s heavyweight hopefuls Hughie Fury and David Price will look to notch up wins this weekend as they seek to further their careers, here is your preview and betting tips for each of those bouts.

Hughie Fury Vs Andriy Rudenko

Hughie Fury takes a step up in opposition against Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko, most may remember Rudenko from his fight with Lucas Browne last year in which Browne handed Rudenko his first loss in 25 fights. However many including me felt Browne was lucky to walk away with the win in what was a close fight.

This is a significant step up for the young 20 year old, Rudenko is no mug and was pretty good technically against Browne but just seemed to fade in the latter stages.

Tyson Fury has done sparring with Rudenko so the Fury camp know him well, I don’t believe Peter Fury would put Hughie in with Rudenko if he felt there was a big risk of him losing, but I think it could be a risk.

I expect this one to go the distance and be competitive with Fury itching out a win on the cards, but at 9/2 I think Rudenko needs to be played.

BETTING TIP: £10 on Rudenko 9/2 Bet365

David Price Vs Irineu Beato Costa Junior

Price looks to rebuild his career following 2 shattering defeats at the hands of Tony Thompson, he will face Brazilian Irineu Beato Costa Junior who is currently 16-2-0 with his 2 defeats via a TKO loss to up and coming New Zealand star Joseph Parker, and a unanimous decision to Christian Hammer, Tyson Fury’s opponent next weekend.

I have took a good look at Costa Junior and I don’t think he has enough for the upset, he is not a very busy fighter and will stand in range for Price’s looping right hands, unless he lands something out of nowhere then this should be another win from Price as he looks to rebuild his confidence.

I can actually see this being a bit of a borefest, I think with Prices confidence still low he isn’t as open to taking as many risks as when he was blasting everyone one out on the domestic scene, I expect a Price win by KO but this one could easily go the distance in a cagey type fight that is won with Prices jab.

I think 11/2 for Price to win on points is a very good price.

BETTING TIP: £10 on Price by decision 11/2 Bet65
