The Magnificent Seven – Boxnation

Previews, Predictions and Betting Tips.

Boxnation are putting on a packed card full of British talent this weekend, including Paul Butler, Chris Eubank Jr, Liam Smith, Derry Mathews, Adam Dingsdale, Thomas Stalker, Jack Catterall amongst more.

Here is a round up of some of the stand out bets for this card.

Paul Butler Vs Ismael Garnica

After moving up in weight and winning Stuart Hall’s IBF Bantamweight title and then vacating and moving back down to super flyweight, Butler was expecting to fight for Zolani Tete’s IBF superflyweight title which fell through when Tete broke his hand.

As such this can be regarded as no more than a stay busy fight for the classy Chester lad, and this should be a bread and butter fight for Butler its just whether he can get himself up for this after the devastating blow of the world title fight postponement.

But Butler is a professional and his skills are natural, I expect him to stop his man in the first half of this bout. Probably with a body shot.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £25 on under 7 rounds 10/11 Sky Bet

Liam Smith Vs Zoltan Sera

Some may best remember Sera when he was stopped in 3 by Joe Selkirk, and I expect a similar demolition job to be carried out by Smith this weekend and he should really have his man out of there inside 6, Smith particularly in his last two bouts looks to be carrying more power and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has him man out very early.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £30 on under 5.5 rounds 4/6 Boylesports

Thomas Stalker Vs Jack Catterall

This is a tasty domestic match up between two unbeaten fighters, Stalker had a good amateur career despite only taking up boxing late at the age of 18, he competed at the Olympic games in 2012 and was unlucky not to progress to the semi finals after losing by one point in the quarter finals. However as a professional so far Stalker has not impressed me.

He will face Jack Catterall also a title winning amateur who has sparred some good fighters such as Amir Khan and Kell Brook and been around the US sparring in Gyms over there. And I like Catterall in this fight he looks the vastly heavier handed of the two, he mixes his punches well to head and body and looks well schooled.

I am going to take a wild stab at Catterall by stoppage at a tasty 9/2.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £10 on Catterall by KO/TKO 9/2 Stan James

Kevin Satchell Vs Valery Yanchy

Kevin Satchell looks to win Valery Yanchy’s EBU title , Yanchy from what I could see of him looks a gritty little fella who lets his hands go and I think he gives Satchell a tough fight, I expect Satchell to come through with a close decision win but I think 7/2 on Yanchy is a decent price and worth a nibble.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £10 on Yanchy 7/2 Bet365

Derry Mathews Vs Adam Dingsdale

Another good domestic dust up this one, Experienced Mathews goes up against up and coming Adam Dingsdale, this could be an entertaining clash, I fancy Mathews experience to see him though this one but this is certainly not a given for Mathews and this could be a close fight. Sometimes Mathews can be inconsistent at time but If Mathews shows up I think he will have too much for Dingsdale.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £10 on Mathews by KO/TKO 11/4 Bet365
