Ray Robinson Vs Ray Narh – 2nd August 2013

Location – Bob Carpenter Centre, Newark, Delaware, USA 12

Both fighters are looking to get back on track after being quite inactive over the last 2-3 years, infact the 35 year old Narh had a 2 year lay off between 2011-2013 after losing to Mike Alvarado back in May 2011 and only just returned to the ring a month ago with a very good win over capable Ronald Cruz.

Ray Robinson is the younger fighter at 27 and a few years ago people thought he might be able to achieve on the world stage, however between 2009-2010 he suffered back to back losses to Shawn Porter and Brad Solomin which highlighted while Robinson has ability he would never achieve the heights of his legendary namesake.

Narh’s penultimate fight was against Mike Alvarado where he conceded on his stall after 3 rounds, many felt he quit through heart, however Narh claimed the night before the fight he was being sick all night from a bout of food poisoning but still went ahead with the fight, however his legs were weak and he was unable to get any snap in his punches and considering he was clearly losing the fight he wasn’t taking heavy punishment so i will be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

While Robinson is coming off 4 straight wins it is against real soft opposition, and Narh has beaten a capable guy like Ronald Crus, this leads me to believe Narh can pull off the upset and i am going to back him to do so.
