Rakhim Chakhkiev v Krzysztof Wlodarczyk – 21st June 2013

Preview, Prediction and Betting Tip

Location – Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia

WBC Cruiserweight Title

This looks to be an interesting Cruiserweight world title bout, Wlodarczyk is a very good Cruiserweight and has held the WBC belt since 2010 when he beat Giacobbe Fragomeni in a rematch bout by TKO in the 8th round, they had originally fought out a draw 12 months earlier, he also holds very good wins against Danny Green and Steve Cunningham and has plenty of world class experience, he can be outboxed by the slick/illusive mover type fighter.

Chakhkiev won a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics and is highly regarded as potentially one of the top cruiserweights in the world, he turned Pro only 3 years ago and is yet to really be tested at the top of the professional game, he is yet to be beaten though and so far has 12 KO’s from 16 wins and finds himself now fighting for his first world title.

The bout takes place in Russia so i don’t expect any favours on the scorecards for Wlodarczyk however with the WBC title on the line and with an English, Hungarian and Montenegro judging panel i expect scoring to be reasonable.

Both fighters are very heavy handed and i believe its a fight where anything could happen and considering this is Chakhkiev first real test at top level in the professional game Wlodarczyk looks good at 13/4 for a small play as Chakhiev does not seem to be the slick and illusive fighter that can sometimes evade Wlodarczyk and i think Wlodarczyk will be able to land some big shots on Chakhkiev and put him to the real test.

ATR’s Bet – £20 on Wlodarczyk 13/4 Pinnacle (based on 5k Bankroll adjust according to bankroll)
