Manny Pacquiao Vs Timothy Bradley – Preview and Prediction

Manny Pacquiao Vs Timothy Bradley will meet in a rubber match in what could be Manny Pacquiao’s last fight before he retires from the sport. However that is still very much up in the air at the moment, his trainer Freddie Roach recently stated “I personally don’t know if this will be Manny’s last fight but he is training like it will be his last fight”

No fighter in history has won world titles in more weight classes than Manny Pacquiao, the eight division world champion came from the poverty stricken streets of the Philippines with nothing to dominating the sport of boxing, a truly remarkable journey.

However while recent comments in the media regarding homosexuality have caused controversy it is important to separate his personal beliefs from his achievements in boxing, and Pacquiao has been a legend of the sport and brought together a nation each time he has fought.

If this is to be Pacquiao’s final swansong then what a ride it has been.

It could be argued that Pacquiao has already beaten Timothy Bradley quite clearly twice, the first bout looked a clear Pacquiao win by a few rounds but Bradley was awarded a shock split decision victory that outraged the boxing world.

The second bout was correctly scored unanimous to Pacquiao although for the first half of that fight it looked like it was going to be an extremely close contest until Bradley seemed to lose his discipline during the second half of the fight, he abandoned his boxing and began loading up shots and swinging wildly, allowing Pacquiao to sweep the remainder of the fight.

Bradley claimed he had injured his calf post fight, which may have been the reason for a change in tactics.

This time Bradley comes into the fight with new trainer Teddy Atlas and on the performance we saw in the first half of his last fight with Pacquiao it’s clear if Bradley can bring a disciplined and smart performance to the table this Saturday night he has every chance of causing the upset.

It is clear to everyone who has followed Manny’s career that he is a shadow of his former self but his former self was that good he still has more qualities than most of the top fighters in the world today.

I believe this is going to be an incredibly close fight and I have a feeling we may see some controversial scoring once again, I will not be surprised to see something like a split decision occur.

On that breath I really believe the value sits with Timothy Bradley this weekend, if he brings all the smarts we know he can bring and thinks his way through the fight with a disciplined performance I believe he can etch a win out this weekend.

Bradley is 4/1 to win by decision, that looks a good value play to me but ill be covering some on the draw.
