Kevin Mitchell Vs Ghislain Maduma – Preview, Prediction and betting recommendation

Kevin Mitchell Vs Ghislain Maduma

Preview, Prediction and betting recommendation

Kevin Mitchell continues his comeback under Tony Sims in an IBF world title eliminator against relatively unknown Ghislain Maduma, Congo born but Canadian resident Maduma is unbeaten after 16 fights but with a resume made up of modest opposition he is making a step up here against Mitchell.

Mitchell is a skillful boxer with good punch power, he has fallen short dramatically a couple of times when he has stepped up to world level having been stopped by both Ricky Burns and Michael Katsidis early.

However he has good wins against Breidis Prescott and John Murray that highlight how capable he is. However I think he has an extremely dangerous fight on his hands in here, and I think he may be in trouble.

Maduma may not have a proven resume but that does not mean he is not any good, In fact looking Maduma I think he may be very good, He looks very sound technically, very heavy handed, throws blistering  well timed combinations, can counter well and looks extremely shredded, big and strong.

Mitchell has the experience here and he may well prove me very wrong and box this guy’s head off for 12 rounds, but I can only call it as I see it and Maduma looks dangerous to me, he looks smart and brings intelligent aggression and I think we could see an upset in this one.

Maduma is 11/4 to find the stoppage and given Mitchell has proven, if caught he can be vulnerable and finished there and then, I think 11/4 is worth a shot with some cover on a Maduma decision and the draw just incase.

Obviously there considerable risk here as this is a step up for Maduma and Mitchell is capable but from what i see he has an extremely tough opponent in front of him in Maduma, but I think the odds are good enough to make this play viable.

Boxing Tipster’s Bets: £40 on Maduma KO/TKO 11/4 Bet365, £10 on Maduma 11/2 Bet365, £2 on the draw 28/1 Coral
