Kell Brook Vs Vyacheslav Senchenko – 26th October 2013

Location – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom

IBF World Title Eliminator

Many will see this as another step for Kell Brook’s journey to a world title, and you can struggle to argue it because Brook is an extremely talented fighter with superb movement and excellent boxing ability, he is at his best when he is on the offensive and although i don’t believe he is as big a puncher as his record suggests at world level, he has enough.

Senchenko’s record looks a little soft when you dissect it, before his fight with Ricky Hatton he had barely left home. He was a standout amateur, former WBA world title holder and now trains under Freddie Roach. He is very skilful and cracks abit too, despite being quick handed he doesn’t possess quick feet and was taken to school by Paulie Malignaggi last year.

This is an interesting fight because i see Senchenko as live and that this is a particularly dangerous fight for Brook. The way i see it Brook hasn’t answered all the questions yet, and unless he can out Senchenko early (which is possible), the more questions he will have to answer as the fight progresses.

Senchenko can be had at as big as 7/1, that for me is a very generous price and it simply has to be played for value, also the markets on the KO/TKO is as big as 14/1 for Senchenko and i think also a little nibble on it wont hurt.

Obviously Brook is a 1/7 shot for a reason he is highly favoured to win the fight and i can see him outing Senchenko most definitely, however i do see this as a fight that can go wrong for Brook and Senchenko will be more competitive than people are giving him credit for.

Good luck to Kell but the price is just too good on Senchenko for me.
