 Josh Warrington Vs Dennis Tubieron

Preview, Prediction and Betting Tip

Josh Warrington continues his journey to world level in front of his tremendous home town support of Leeds, the matchroom card also features a rematch between Martin J Ward and Maxi Hughes. It was suppose to feature exciting unbeaten prospect Chris Jenkins against Tyrone Nurse but Jenkins has had to pull out due to food poisoning.

It leaves us with a pretty scarce card.

Josh Warrington brings an exciting style and a large fan base to the table, it’s a good platform for any young 24 year old fighter and it is no wonder why Eddie Hearn is promoting him with a canny smile, Warrington could be big.

He will face a Filipino foe this weekend, Dennis Tubieron and to be honest I don’t know an awful lot about him as there isn’t too much footage available other than from a fight that took place nearly 6 years ago and some phone camera wobbling all over the place from a fight in Japan in 2013, one in which he was stopped in 2 rounds.

Looking at his record he seems to have fought at a few different weights, in fact according to boxrec he went from a bantamweight to a lightweight in just 6 months in 2013, I am not sure how accurate that is as he doesn’t look like a lightweight to me, however it seems he now fights at featherweight.

Tubieron’s record is pretty soft by the looks of things and he has been stopped on 2 occasions by 3rd tier opposition, Warrington really shouldn’t be having any issues here.

Warrington is not renowned for his punching power but I think in his last few fights we have seen a notable development in that area and he should land enough to break down Tubieron over 12 rounds, for me its a case of pick your round.

I think there is potentially some value in the total rounds market, Sky Bet are offering up evens for the fight to go under 8 rounds which basically means providing we don’t see the 9th round we are onto a winner, I think it could be close but evens is a good enough price for me

BETTING TIP: £25 on under 8 rounds evens at Sky Bet
