Jermell Charlo v Harry Joe Yorgey – 26th January (early hours UK time)

This is a bout i do expect Charlo to win most likely by stoppage, but i also see it as a fight that could go wrong for him if he underestimates the experienced Yorgey.

Harry Joe has been on the circuit for a number of years he was the first man to defeat Ronald Hearns back in 2009 which was an upset at the time, however since then Hearns has only gone 5-3 and has been exposed by top level fighters such as Felix Sturm and Erislandy Lara and even lesser fighter Derrick Findley.

In that fight he managed to take Hearns into the trenches and stop him late in the 9th round and appeared to carry some power in that bout. However he was mowed down by Alfredo Angulo in 3 rounds in his next bout

Jermell is a golden boy prospect with amatuer pedigree, he is six foot tall and mixes up his punches well and is a clinical counter puncher with good reflexes and speed.

This is most definitely a GBP showcase fight for Charlo, but sometimes the other fighter doesnt always read the script and Harry Joe Yorgey hasnt always read the script either, if he leaves it all in the ring for one last hurrah and trys to take Charlo into the trenches, just maybe he has a small chance of a shock upset here.

I have noticed Yorgey sitting at 10/1 at Pinnacle whilst he is at 5’s and 6’s at the mainstream bookmakers, i wouldnt go near him at those prices, but 10/1, at that price i think he is worth a nibble, just about.

ATR’s Bet – £10 on Harry Joe Yorgey any method 10/1 Pinnacle.

* Note Pinnacle is a 2 way play so we are covered on the draw for a refund also which adds extra value on the play you dont get at other mainstreamers, this gives the play extra viability in my opinion.
