Gennady Golovkin Vs Dominic Wade – Preview and Prediction

The beast from the east Gennady ‘Triple G’ Golovkin returns this Saturday night to face mandatory challenger Dominic Ward in California, the unbeaten number one middleweight will be looking to add another knockout to his already impressive 91% knockout ratio.

To date no one has come close to really testing the Olympic silver medalist for the reason of one, the middleweight division is hardly brimming with Marvin Hagler’s at the moment and two, there seems to be a real reluctance among the top fighters to get in the ring with Gennady Golovkin.

His opponent Wade, like Golovkin, also comes from a solid amateur background and Wade is also unbeaten, however he is yet to face anyone near Golovkin’s level and arguably lost his last fight with Sam Soliman.

Wade is a guy who likes to fight on the outside utilising his jab, style for style I think this is a good match up for Triple G who will cut of the ring and will have plenty of room to get leverage in his hooks and I think this could actually end up being another demolition job this weekend for the man from Kazakhstan.

Dominic Wade may not be the man to test Golovkin this weekend but you have to give him and any fighter respect for getting in with one of the most feared fighters on the planet today.

I am predicting an early night for Golovkin this weekend and would not be surprised to see this end within the first 3 rounds, I just don’t see anyway Wade wins.

Ladbrokes have the fight to end within the first 3 rounds at 2/1 that screams value to me and that is the play I am recommending.

BETTING TIP: £20 on the fight to end within 3 rounds 2/1 Ladbrokes
