Frankie Gavin Vs Leonard Bundu – Preview, prediction and betting recommendation.

Frankie Gavin Vs Leonard Bundu

Preview, prediction and betting recommendation.

Frankie Gavin looks to add a European title to his portfolio on his way to the world stage, but he faces a tough task in unbeaten Leonard Bundu and this may not be a formality for Gavin.

Frankie Gavin is a super talent, his boxing IQ and ability to understand distance and timing is up there with the very best, he was a standout amateur and commonwealth champion but so far as a professional progress has been slower than some would have expected.

Making weight and problems outside of the ring that have had an effect on Gavin inside of the ring has been reflected in some under par displays, bouts that Gavin should easily win have been closer than they should be for a man of his talent.

He is facing Leonard Bundu he himself had over 100 amateur fights and turned professional late at 30 years of age, he is nearly 40 now but his fitness and physique is never in question and this guy has underrated skills, with his fitness and work rate if he can turn this into a war of attrition he will win this fight.

I think we have a close fight here Gavin is a quality counter puncher and he may frustrate Bundu keeping the champion long and modest, but I think Bundu is a smart and skillful fighter and will find his way inside often enough and with underrated power he has the tools to hurt Gavin, Bundu is banging them out recently and is on a 5 win knockout streak, and against respectable opposition.

I dont expect any favours for Bundu on the cards but I do think if he does enough he should get a fair shake, 11/4 on Bundu is too good to turn down for me, this guy is underrated and has skills and tools in abundance and if he beats Gavin on Friday night it would not shock me in the slightest.

This could be a very close fight and those looking for some big odds should take a look at the split decision and majority decision odds in Ladbrokes final judgement market as there could be a winner to be found in that market.

But I am going to keep it simple and make a play at Bet365 where I am also covered for a refund in the event a draw occurs which is not beyond the realms of possibility in this fight.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £20 on Leonard Bundu at 11/4 Bet365
