Floyd Mayweather Vs Marcos Maidana II – Preview, Prediction and Betting Recommendation

Floyd Mayweather Vs Marcos Maidana II

Preview, Prediction and Betting Recommendation

Marcos Maidana gets his rematch with Floyd Mayweather after giving the king of boxing arguably his toughest fight since Oscar De La Hoya in 2007, I had Floyd 116-112 in the first contest, I know many had it closer and some even had Maidana winning.

But I don’t buy that, I thought while it was close and competitive Floyd won clear enough but at the same time Maidana deserves a rematch – he really took it to Floyd in the first half of the fight.

Maidana has been working on stamina in his camp in an attempt to turn the first 6 round assault he put on Mayweather in the first fight into a full 12 round assault on Mayweather in the rematch. If he does that who knows he could make this a very close fight. Will he get it on the scorecards? He got a draw card last time out? But ultimately he probably wont.

I certainly am not of the crowd who believe Mayweather is entirely unbeatable, he is human at the end of the day and he isn’t getting any younger and I am expecting another tough fight for Floyd this weekend.  It is not completely inconceivable to think a relentless 12 round Marcos Maidana could win this weekend.

I think we will see a similar fight to the first fight but I think Floyd will make the adjustments required and win a unanimous decision this time round but a competitive one.

There really isn’t much value to be had in this fight Floyd is 2/5 to get a decision which is pretty low, Ladbrokes have Floyd to get a unanimous decision at 8/11 which does carry its risks with recent strange Vegas scorecards such as the 114-114 given in the Mayweather Vs Alvarez fight.

But I much prefer that bet over the 2/5 for a Floyd decision and that is where my money is going this weekend.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £30 on Floyd Mayweather by Unanimous Decision 8/11 Ladbrokes
