Chris Eubank Jr Vs Tony Jeter – Preview and Prediction

Chris Eubank Jr makes his Matchroom debut on Sky Sports, the card was originally going to be headlined by Kell Brook defending his IBF world welterweight belt against Diego Chaves, however Brook pulled out citing injury and Eubank Jr now becomes the main attraction.

Eubank Jr will also be under the guidance of new trainer Adam Booth, and with 8 months already out of the ring since claiming the WBA interim middleweight belt against Dmitry Chudinov, the 26 year old will be looking to get his career moving full throttle again.

Eubank Jr while still raw in many areas looks an exciting talent and it will be interesting to see how he develops under the guidance of Adam Booth.

Tony Jeter is arguably a tailor made opponent for Eubank Jr, handpicked from the finest orchard, his record is littered with soft opposition and any step up in level has seen Jeter fall well short, he was knocked out in 2 rounds by Denmark’s Patrick Nielsen last year, a guy I think Eubank Jr would handle comfortably.

Jeter does like to come forward and is relatively aggressive, he has a 52% knockout percentage but given he has fought half his career against fighters with losing records, its really hard to gauge his power.

This looks like a mismatch to me and Eubank Jr should be able to notch another KO on the resume comfortably, I expect an early night for Eubank Jr this weekend.

Ladbrokes have Eubank Jr to win in rounds 1-3 at 11/10, the markets best price, it’s not an outstanding price but I think this could be over in a couple of rounds quite easily, Jeter has already been stopped 3 times in his career so I don’t expect Eubank Jr to have to smash through a granite.

BETTING TIP: £20 on Eubank Jr rounds 1-3 11/10 Ladbrokes
