Callum Smith Vs Hadillah Mohoumadi – Preview and Prediction

Callum Smith looks to land the the European super middleweight title and a world title shot as he takes on Hadillah Mohoumadi at the Echo Arena. Smith is currently ranked in the top 10 of all governing bodies, number one contender with the WBC.

As a final eliminator Callum Smith will earn a shot at the WBC belt with a win against Mohoumadi this weekend, currently to be contested between current holder Badou Jack and Lucian Bute at the end of the month.

Also down the line some big domestic dust ups to made involving Smith with the likes of George Groves, Martin Murray and current IBF world title holder James Degale.

Smith is coming in off the back of a sensational 1st round demolition job over Rocky Fielding and has to date looked an exciting talent, it’s without question Smith is expected to get past Mohoumadi with little issue this weekend.

Mohoumadi is a come forward fighter who Smith will have little trouble finding, most UK fans may remember Mohoumadi when he went the distance in a points loss to James Degale in 2012.

He has currently shown himself to be a rugged and durable competitor who has never been stopped in 24 fights, he also seems to carry some power with 15 KO’s from 20 wins, and is coming in on a 5 KO winning streak, albeit against soft opposition.

I believe Smith should be able to get his man out of there this weekend, he will be the bigger man with the better armory in this battle and he won’t have to go looking for a fire fight in this one.

Smith will have plenty of opportunities to land his signature body shots and I think he should be able to break Mohoumadi down for a stoppage win around the middle rounds.

It is a difficult fight to find any value on, Smith is around the 2/5 mark to find the stoppage so its a case of looking in the under/over rounds and round group betting markets, however there is little there that really offers up any significant value in my opinion.
