Briedis Prescott Vs Terrance Crawford – 30/03/13

Crawford is a hot prospect who is still early on in his career, he has handled mid range opposition with relative ease to date and has a high KO percentage relative to his power punching, he has speed and a classiness about him.

Prescott in my opinion is an underrated fighter with a big punch, since defeating Amir Khan in the first round he has been dreadfully unlucky in going 6-4, with 3 of the 4 defeats being of marginal proportions, he got robbed against Paul McCloskey, lost a marginal split decision to Miguel Vasquez who has since gone on to be a solid champion, and was winning on all 3 judges scorecards before getting stopped in the final round of his bout with Mike Alvarado, infact the only opponent who has won decisively against Prescott was Kevin Mitchell, who was at his best that night since then something has not been right about Mitchell.

Prescott has underrated boxing ability he has a stiff jab and can throw nice combinations and as has power to turn any fight on his head, Crawford has a much tougher test ahead tonight then many believe and i think Prescott could cause the upset here.

Prescott is 5/2 to do so, Crawford looks good but this is his first real step up against top level opposition and although i am not at my most confident with this one i do feel Prescott is well worth a nibble, however ill be keeping stakes on the low side.
