Brandon Rios Vs Diego Gabriel Chaves – Preview, prediction and betting recommendation

Brandon Rios Vs Diego Gabriel Chaves

Preview, prediction and betting recommendation

This fight could be a contender for fight of the year, it certainly has the ingredients to be as these two styles should make for a spectacle, both fighters are big punchers so this may not go the distance.

Brandon Rios is a come forward fighter, who has proven to have a solid chin and toughness he is a former WBA world lightweight champion however he doesn’t have too many dimensions and has been outboxed by Mike Alvarado and schooled by Manny Pacquiao.

Diego Chaves is a boxer/brawler type that can switch, he has very good movement and uses upper body and head movement well defensively, also he has speed and as a very good counter puncher, the tactics he adopts will determine the outcome of this fight.

If Chaves rubs head to head with Rios then we may find the tougher man with the better chin may prevail and given the fact Rios has never been stopped in a 34 fight career that man may well be Brandon Rios, but Chaves is tough and hanged almost neck and neck with Keith Thurman for 10 rounds, and Thurman might be elite, so theres no reason to doubt Chaves could not win a slugfest if that’s what occurs.

I favour Chaves in this fight, i think he will maintain some distance between himself and Rios and use his speed and counter punching to out land Rios and I think a stoppage is not out of the question for Chaves but ultimately I think there is more chance it goes the distance which is a concern for Chaves as he may get robbed on the cards against the home fighter.

I am going to make a play on the straight win with a little tickle on the 4/1 for Chavez to win by decision to give the play a bit extra, Also its certainly wise to cover the draw in this one.

Boxing Tipster’s Bet: £20 on Chaves to win 6/4 Bwin and £5 on Chaves by decision at 4/1 Bet365  (Also cover £1 on the draw at 25/1 Various bookmakers)
