Aslanbek Kozaev v David Avanesyan – 16/03/13

This is a welterweight clash against two russian prospects, Kozaek is unbeaten whilst Avanesyan suffered one defeat early in his career, i couldnt find an awful lot of footage on this two but what i did find i really feel Avanesyan has the tools here he looks the superior puncher and mover in the fight.

Kozaev likes to come forward and adopts a high work rate, where as Avanesyan has fairly slick movement and will open up angles, counter and outbox his opponent, for me that could will be the case here and it may be a case of who the judges favour.

will they go for the guy who utilises his movement avoids getting hit and lands many counters or the guy who applies the pressue and thats a tough call to make with some judges, they are suppose to score for effective pressure but im not sure Kozaev will necessarily always be effective in this fight.

Both fighters fought Mykola Korenev and James Onyango its interesting to note that Avanesyan stopped Korenev in the 3rd and Onyango in the 6th whilst Kozaev went the distance with both of those fighters.

Avanesyan is 5/2 at Boylesports and SkyBet for me, from what ive seen of these two fighters thats a really good price and worth a play.
