Ajose Olusegen Vs Hank Lundy – 19th July 2013

Location – Rockingham Park, Salem, New Hampshire, USA

This looks to be a good match up and is a matter of huge importance for both fighters as they look to propel themselves back into world contention.

Lundy is looking to put an end to a 2 fight losing streak (Raymundo Beltran and Viktor Pistol) and cement his recent move back up to 140 with what would be a very good win against a solid opponent in Olusegen.

Olusegen, most will remember from his battle with Lucas Matthysse last September when he showed the heart, resilience and chin of a champion but just could not tame the beasts power despite outlanding Matthysse at times.

While Olusegen isn’t the biggest puncher he has enough to grind down an opponent via accumulation and i believe he can hurt a Hank Lundy who’s chin has been called into question at times and who has hit the canvass several times in his career.

Both may box early, both have good hand speed and enough power but i see the fighters getting closer as the fight progresses and in the exchanges i believe Olusegen may just be that bit quicker and accurate with his combination punching.

Since his loss to Mattysse, Olusegen has had a tune up fight i do wonder how much the Mattysse TKO took out of him as despite being competitive he took many big shots in that fight, however he can take heart from being one of very few fighters to take Matthysse into the championship rounds.

Olusegen is 5/2 to find a stoppage with most bookmakers i think that’s a very reasonable price for a small play as i think he can get it.

ATR’s Bet – £20 on Olusegen by KO/TKO 5/2 BET365
